Do you feel like making some delicious Texas-style BBQ at your home? The oklahoma joe smoker grills will help you get amazing results even if you’re an amateur.
Oklahoma Joe’s was founded in the late 1980s. The company started by designing a dozen cookers for a display at the State Fair in Oklahoma. At that very occasion, they managed not only to sell all of the premade units, but they also got nearly a hundred of new orders.
The original models were built to last – they were made from 12-gauge oil pipes. And guess what? The approach and the material stayed the same to this very day!
Oklahoma Joe’s are well known for the quality of their products. The company has won over 299 championships and titles. The owners got a lot of valuable experience from competitions such as the American Royal World Championship, the Memphis World BBQ Championship, and Jack Daniels Championship.
If you are looking for a sturdy, functional grill with loads of cooking space, the Oklahoma Joe’s Offset Smoker won’t let you down!

The Oklahoma Joe’s Longhorn is two products in one: an offset charcoal grill and a smoker.
Why Get It?
The Longhorn has a durable, tempered steel body. Its sturdy design promises years of smoking and grilling. You can use charcoal or wood as fuel, depending on your preference.
The firebox has a top lid, for simple filling and refilling. You can even use it for grilling if you need some extra space. The side door makes it easy to tend to the fire and remove ash when required without losing any heat.
The grilling area adds up to a total of 1060 square inches – 751 in the main chamber, plus 309 in the firebox. That means you will most definitely have more than enough cooking space, even if you’re feeding the whole neighborhood. You could cook up to 40 hamburgers on it at the same time!
The grates are made of steel. Porcelain coating makes them durable, easy to clean and rust-resistant. The handles on both lids are chrome-plated, so they will remain cool to touch even when the smoker is lit.
The temperature gauge helps with monitoring the heat degree at any given moment. You can control the temperature and smoke by adjusting the primary chamber dampers, or by lowering and raising the charcoal grate. The grates regulate how much smoke and heat exits through the smokestack – the more smoke is captured inside, the more heated and flavorful your food will get.
Setup is straightforward. To assemble the smoker, you will only need to attach a couple of bolts. And with two 10-inch wagon-style wheels, you can quickly move the grill from one point to the other.
For your convenience, Joe’s Longhorn comes with two shelves. The large front rack can be used to keep your tools or necessary ingredients close by. Under the unit, there is another spacious shelf that further adds to your storage room and workspace.
The pit has two chambers: the firebox and the main chamber. The side firebox was designed for smoking purposes. This is a smaller box where you burn charcoal or wood, and it is attached to the side of the main cell.
For pure smoke and maximum durability, the firebox has an all-steel fuel basket. The two chambers are connected with a small hole, allowing for the smoke, heat, and flavor from the firebox to enter the main chamber. As a result, your meat will be smokey, tender and juicy.
Oklahoma Joe’s is a trustworthy manufacturer with decades of experience in making different types of grills and grilling accessories. As such, the company stands behind its products, offering a two-year warranty against defects in materials and artistry.
If you change your mind within the first 30 days after purchase, you may return the smoker and get a full refund.

What to Watch Out For
The Paint Peels Off Easily
The main complaint about this product is that the paint on the fire chamber peels off easily. While this doesn’t affect the performance of the smoker, it may be an issue if aesthetics are important to you.
Longhorn weighs 200 pounds, so you will need some help setting it up. Although the assembly is simple, the parts are large and very heavy. Putting this machine together is not a one-person job!
A Piece of Advice
Try using flavored wood chips for a tasty treat. Depending on what type of meat, vegetables or cheese you plan on smoking, there is a range of flavors, such as apple, cherry, alder, hickory, etc.
To help keep the meat moist you can use a water pan. You can also fill the baffles with juice or beer if you want to add even more flavor.
Oklahoma Joe’s LongHorn is a grill and a smoker all in one. It has a solid, all-steel body and offers enough cooking space to feed a small army. The smart design will give you complete smoke and heat control, making this barbeque an excellent choice for rookies, as well as experienced pitmasters.
